New Product Release—Laurent Perrier Brut Millésimé 1999
June 2007
Sausalito, CA — Laurent Perrier Champagne, celebrated for its elegant and exclusive Champagnes, announces the release of Brut Millésimé 1999. Vintage Champagnes are produced only in years when there is an exceptionally high-quality harvest, and Brut Millésimé 1999 reflects the unique nature of that year, as well as Laurent-Perrier’s signature style.
The weather and harvest conditions in 1999 in Champagne produced an abundance of superior Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes from the grand cru vineyards of the Montagne de Reims region, including Verzy, Verzenay, Ambonnay, and Tours-sur-Marne, as well as from le Mesnil, Cramant, Oger and Chouillythe in the Côte des Blancs region.
Laurent-Perrier Brut Millésimé 1999 is made from almost equal parts Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes (52%/48%). The Champagne is bright gold, with fine bubbles and aromas of fresh pineapple, white peach, dried apricots, and almonds. On the palate is a touch of preserved fruit and vanilla. Brut Millésimé 1999 beautifully complements fish, poultry, and pork dishes.
